The method involves determining internal power dissipation, which results based on parameterization data, which is specified for parameterization of an output driver. The internal power dissipation is compared with respect to power dissipation threshold value. The embossing of analog signals at the output channel corresponding to the parameterization data, which is specified for parameterization of the output driver is suppressed in functional dependence of the comparison results.
