<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for reading bar codes, which can recognize a reading position, under a light environment, while it suppresses interference light effectively under a dark environment. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for reading bar codes, which can read a bar code 7 by way of scanning it, using the light emitted from a light source 1, comprises a means 21 for generating an aiming light, which emits the aiming light for making the reading position of the light to be irradiated visible and can change the intensity of emission of the aiming light, and the light source 1, so as to emit frequency light waves of low relative luminosity as the light waves for reading. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
