POTENTIAL SEPARATION FOR A FILL LEVEL RADAR

The radar electronics unit (1) transceives microwaves, performs evaluation and generates a tank level output signal. Isolation (10a-d) in the electronics, separates signals in the first section (201) from those in the second (202). The input and output circuitry (8) is designed to control and generate the output in the first section (201) whilst generation of the transmitted signal takes place in the second section (202). Digital and/or DC-free AC signals are isolated, especially using an optical coupler. An independent claim is included for the corresponding method of measurement.
