The invention relates to mineral dressing and can be used for dehydration of hard-to-purify suspensions in mining, chemical and oil branches of industry. A method of dehydration of suspensions includes supply of initial suspension on the inclined filter partition with filtrate chambers located under it and the filtration of suspension under action of the difference of pressures on the filter partition with forming of sediment, action by periodic pressure impulses of compressed air on the filter partition from the side of filtrate chambers. The parameters of pulses are determined in such a way that they would ensure tossing ejection of the sediment above the filter partition. A device for realization of the method includes an inclined filter partition with filtrate chambers located under it and connected to a vacuum pump; moreover it is equipped with a source of compressed air and with change-over mechanisms in the form of two-position air distributors, which connect filtrate chambers with vacuum pump and source of compressed air. The invention provides intensification of the process of dehydration of difficult to filter suspensions. |
