An automotive brake system is provided to improve braking response of the system since the fluid pressure required for the brake is formed while the magnetic fluid is solidified. An automotive brake system comprises a hydraulic cylinder equipped with the wheel cylinder(4) equipped with the piston(4a) or the piston pressurizing disc(14), a magnetic fluid which is filled in the wheel cylinder or the hydraulic cylinder and is solidified with the magnetic field(5), an electromagnet(6) which selectively authorizes the magnetic field in this magnetic fluid, an actuator(7) which supplies the magnetic fluid to the wheel cylinder or the hydraulic cylinder or drained, an electronic control unit(ECU) which authorizes the control signal in electromagnet and actuator or blocked.
