FIELD: engines and pumps. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical coaxial transmissions incorporating no lay shafts. The cycloid-lantern-wheel transmission comprises two central wheels (1, 10) with cycloid teeth (2, 11) and a lantern wheel (5) aligned with the said central wheels. The cogs of the lantern wheel are fitted on shafts (6) eccentrically and in a constant mesh with teeth (2, 11) of both gear wheels. Either of the wheels (1, 5, 10) can make an input, output or fixed reactive link. The transmission runs on the principle of a planetary transmission, but all three wheels (1, 5, 10) share a common fixed shat. The planetary motion of lantern wheel (5) is replaced by an appropriate motion of cogs (7) relative to their shafts (6). The aforesaid transmission features a notable reduction in misbalance, vibrations and dynamic loads.
