A method for forecasting AIDS development in the children provides for the assessment of CD3+CD4+ lymphocytes and production of interferon gamma, interleukin-2 and tumor necrosis factor alpha by these lymphocytes. When the content of CD3+CD4+ lymphocytes producing interferon gamma is less than 15%, or the content of CD3+CD4+ lymphocytes producing interleukin-2 is more than 20%, or the content of CD3+CD4+ lymphocytes producing tumor necrosis factor alpha is less than 30%, the probability of AIDS development is significant. |
