A disc gripping apparatus can accurately grip and lift loaded discs one by one without damaging the disc. A disc gripping apparatus includes a plurality of gripping members for griping a disc(2) by being inserted into the center hole of the disc; a contact member having a contact surface for contact with the upper side of the disc; an arm to which the contact member is attached and which holds the gripping member so that the gripping member can move in the radial direction of the center hole; and a driving unit moving the gripping member to the center hole of the disc in the insertion direction. The arm is supported by the driving unit to move to the direction opposed to the insertion direction of the contact member.
