A shock absorber is provided to maintain the total length of the shock absorber since che cylinder length as much as the disuse section is reduced through the loading analysis and the tie bar is used as much as the length corresponding to the reduced disuse section. A shock absorber comprises a cylinder(10) in which the working fluid is admitted, a piston rod(16) in which one end is located within cylinder and which the other end is extended in order to be located about cylinder, a piston valve(18) generating the damping force, and a bearing means adhered to cylinder. The tie bar(20) having the length corresponding to the length of the reduced cylinder is installed between bottom and I(15) of the cylinder.
