#CMT# #/CMT# The device has an output shaft (20) mounted coaxial to an input shaft (10). A counterweight (30) is radially moved between clutched and declutched positions. A friction unit (40) e.g. Ferodo(RTM: high-friction brake pad), is located between the input shaft and the counterweight for permitting cooperation of the counterweight with the input shaft in a clutched position during displacement of the counterweight under the effect of centrifugal force. A coil (90) displaces the counterweight for disintegrating the counterweight from the input shaft in a declutched position. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Clutch device for transmitting power from a heat engine to a gear box in a vehicle in clutched position and decoupling the heat engine and gear box to change a speed ratio in declutched position. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The magnetic force generating unit displaces the counterweight for disintegrating the counterweight from the input shaft in the declutched position, thus avoiding the need for complex hydraulic circuits, and hence improving fabrication efficiency of the clutch device. The output shaft is mounted coaxial to the input shaft, thus limiting encumbrance of the clutch device.
