An assembly for connecting an evaporative cooling module, and an evaporative cooling assembly are provided to supply a field joint used between the cooling tower module adjacent to the vertical direction by sealing the module for preventing operative liquid(normally water) from being discharged between the adjacent module. A structural top edge(16) of the lower module of the assembly(10) for connecting the evaporative cooling module includes the structural outer composition(18) and the inner sealing composition(20). The structural composition of the structural top edge of the sub-module has a flat upper side(50) and a flat inner side. The inner side sealing composition of the structural top edge of the sub-module has the flat upper side. A structural bottom edge of the upper module includes the structural outer side composition and the inner side sealing composition. The structural outer side element of the structural bottom edge(40) of the upper module has the flat floor side(48) and the flat inner side.
