A dynamo for engine equipped with indication department is provided to distinguish end housing assembly easily according to the location of the engine attach lower part mounting part and top mounting part by mounting a display unit for the position determination. A dynamo(1) for engine includes a top mounting(7), lower part mounting(8), the end housing(2) composed of lower part mounting, and rear housing(3). The engine built-in position is determined according to a top mounting, lower part mounting, the end housing composed of lower part mounting, and rear housing. A display unit(10) is formed on the one side of the end housing to distinguish the position on which the engine is installed. A rear display unit(11) is formed on the one side of the rear housing.
