摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display element that has excellent display quality free from blurs, ghosts and grayscale jump in a low grayscale and achieves multi-grayscale display, and to provide a driving method thereof and electronic paper with the same, as a liquid crystal display element for displaying an image by driving liquid crystal, a driving method thereof and electronic paper with the same. SOLUTION: The driving method of the liquid crystal display element comprises a first step S1 of displaying an initial grayscale by initializing liquid crystal in pixels and a second step S2 of displaying a desired grayscale lower than the initial grayscale by making a cumulative time difference between low grayscales lower than a reference grayscale longer than a cumulative time difference between high grayscales higher than the reference grayscale, wherein the cumulative time differences are a difference between a cumulative voltage application time of voltage pulses to be cumulatively applied in order to display a grayscale lower than the initial grayscale and a cumulative voltage application time of the voltage pulses to be cumulatively applied in order to display a grayscale of one level lower than grayscale lower than the initial grayscale.
