PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a plurality of images (an image for the right eye and an image for the left eye) to be viewed stereoscopically with high resolution. SOLUTION: A lighting device 10 and a liquid crystal display device 20 display the images having a parallax therebetween so as to be viewed stereoscopically. A driving device 50 makes the lighting device 10 and liquid crystal device 20 display monochrome images of pluralities of color components which constitute the image for the right eye and the image for the left eye having the parallax therebetween in sub-fields SF of each unit period F so that the order of display colors of each monochrome image is different in each unit period F.
