<p>A method for transmitting and receiving data packets, which includes the following steps: the forward error collection is performed for the data packets and the verifying packets are produced, the corresponding information that is independent of the packet sequence number and denotes the corresponding relation between the data packet and the verifying packet is included in the data packet; or the corresponding information that is independent of the packet sequence number and denotes the corresponding relation between the data packet and the verifying packet is included in the verifying packet; or the corresponding information that is independent of the packet sequence number and denotes the corresponding relation between the data packet and the verifying packet is included in the data packet and verifying packet respectively; the protocol based on the user datagram protocol UDP is used for transmitting the data packets and the verifying packets. A method for receiving data packets and data packet transceiver that make the receiving terminal recover the lost data packets on the condition when the packet sequence number is amended in the relay device are disclosed.</p>
