A sustained release preparation of one or more antibiotics comprising, in addition to an antibiotic component from the group consisting of the aminoglykosides antibiotics, the lincosamide antibiotics, the 4-quinolone antibiotics and tetracycline antibiotics, a) at least one amphiphilic component, b) at least one anhydrous, organic auxiliary component, and c) at least one inorganic auxiliary component. Also disclosed is the use of the preparation for the production of injectable suspensions and absorbable or nonabsorbable implants for the treatment of local microbial infections in hard and soft tissue.
