The cup has a lip portion 20 which is approximately twice the thickness 22 of the side wall and has an outwardly facing concave face 20. The plastics beads may be of polystyrene. A method of moulding cups according to the invention includes partially expanding foamed plastics beads and introducing them into a mould and then further expanding them to fill the mould and afterwards cooling the mould and removing the cup therefrom.
