<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving means for preventing, controlling, diagnosing or treating the diseases of Streptococcus pneumoniae. <P>SOLUTION: New protein antigens originated from Streptococcus pneumoniae are provided, together with nucleic acid sequences encoding them. They can be used in vaccines and in screening methods. The new protein antigens originated from the Streptococcus pneumoniae can be used as active substances of antagonizing, inhibiting or interfering the functions or expression of proteins or polypeptides also on the production of medicines used for treating or preventing Streptococcus pneumoniae infections. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
