PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine oil composition having a low sulfated ash content, a low sulfur content, a low phosphorus content and, in addition, excellent in abrasion preventive performance. SOLUTION: The engine oil composition contains a base oil and (A) 50-400 ppm by mass, in terms of molybdenum, of molybdenum dithiocarbamate, (B) 0.3-2.0 mass% of a glycerol fatty acid partial ester, (C) 0.1-2.0 mass% of an alkyl alkanol amide and (D) 0.3-0.6 mass% of a zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate having a 3-5C alkyl group. It has a sulfated ash content of≤1.1 mass%, a sulfur content of≤0.2 mass% and a phosphorus content of≤0.05 mass%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
