METHOD FOR PRODUCING POLYESTER RESIN MATERIAL AND RESIN MOLDING PRODUCED THEREBY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a polyester resin molding material excellent in mechanical properties and to produce a biodegradable molding material excellent in mechanical properties.

SOLUTION: A compound having a furan ring or a hydrogenated furan ring is compounded with a polyester resin, and the resultant mixture is heated. Among the compounds having a furan ring or a hydrogenated furan ring, 2-furancarboxaldehyde represented by the chemical formula: (C4H3O)CHO is desirably used. The polyester resin may be substituted by a biodegradable polyester resin.
