PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a lens barrel which supports an optical system. SOLUTION: The lens barrel 3 is provided with a master flange 31, a fixed frame 33, a drive frame 34, and a third lens frame 35. A focus lens L3 is provided in the third lens frame 35. A retreat frame is supported by a fixed member so as to rotate relative to the fixed member, and has a second rotary shaft arranged on the outside in the radial direction of a rotating member. The third lens frame 35 can rotate relative to the fixed frame 33 between an insertion position Q1 and a retreat position Q2. The drive frame 34 has a drive projection 34e capable of abutting on the third lens frame 35. The drive frame 34 guides the third lens frame 35 from the insertion position Q1 to the retreat position Q2 by the drive projection 34e, and the third lens frame 35 moves in a Y-axis direction while rotating relative to the fixed frame 33 in such a state that it is positioned at the retreat position Q2.
