POSITION DETECTION CIRCUIT AND IMAGING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detection circuit and an imaging apparatus capable of reducing power consumption. SOLUTION: Magnetic field change detection elements 3 and 4 provided to separate from each other detect the intensity of magnetic field formed by a magnetic field generating body 2 attached to an imaging device 1. A position detection part 5 detects the position of the magnetic field generating body 2 based on output from the magnetic field change detection elements 3 and 4. A standby part 8 stops the function of at least either the magnetic field change detection elements 3 and 4 or the position detection part 5 until the first step of a release switch 14 is set.
