PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lightweight polyamide filament which has excellent dye affinity and color fastness compared to conventional filament, without greatly increasing costs and with ensuring stable supply. SOLUTION: The filament having density of 1.1 g/cm<SP>3</SP>or lower is composed by blending a polyimide and a polyolefin by melt-spinning. The polyamide filament contains 50-80 wt.% of the polyamide and 20-50 wt.% of the polyolefin, in which the maximum dispersion diameter of fiber cross-sections of the polyolefin is 1-3μm.
