PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a latency until the commencement of printing movement as much as possible. SOLUTION: A GUI control part 704 of a precedent development processing section 702 chooses an image file which is desired for printing by an user and sends out the information of the chosen image to a precedent development receiving-processing part 704 of the precedent development processing section 702 when determining the chosen image by turning on an OK button 24j. The precedent development receiving-processing part 705 forms an object information based on the information of the chosen image from the GUI control part 704 and sends out the image development conditions including the object information to a layout-composing processing part 711. The layout-composing processing part 711 receives the image development conditions from the precedent development receiving-processing part 705 and issues the order of development start to a pass management processing part 713. The layout-composing processing part 711 acquires developed image data from the pass management processing part 713 and forms layout-composed image data by arranging the developed image data according to the layout chosen by the user and stores it in an output buffer in RAM.
