The aid (100) has a base body (10) with a retention slot (11) running along a longitudinal alignment for retaining band- or line-like units. The body is formed as dimensionally stable, and a gripping surface (13) is provided at the body. Knobs are provided at inner sides of side flanks (12), which limit the slot and arranged in longitudinal direction. The surface has a set of through holes, which is designed such that a comb or grid-like structure surface is formed. A bulge is arranged in outer areas of the slot and runs transverse to the longitudinal direction of the slot.
