<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device and its driving system capable of improving quality of a three-dimensional image, and displaying three-dimensional and two-dimensional images with simple structure and movement. <P>SOLUTION: The image display device includes a display unit for displaying the image of one frame in a first period separately at least to a second and a third periods, and a barrier layer including a first barrier driven during the second period and a second barrier driven during the third period. The same two-dimensional image is repeatedly displayed during a second and a third periods in a region where the two-dimensional image in the display unit is displayed.
