PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe and easily operable door stopper by using a door closer. SOLUTION: The mounting plate 10 of the door stopper is secured to the door together with the door closer with door closer mounting bolts 4. A brake drum 11 is fixedly connected to the shaft 3 of the door closer through a shaft 13. A brake shoe 12 is secured to a lever 21. The lever 21 is rotated by an operation cam 23 held rotatably about a cam pivot 24 having one end held rotatably about a lever pivot 20 secured to the mounting plate 10 and the other end held rotatably about a cam pivot 24 secured to the mounting plate 10, and presses the brake shoe 12 on the brake drum 11. The rotation of the shaft 3 of the door closer is stopped by the brake action of the brake shoe 12 and the brake drum 11, and the door is fixed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
