PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further reduce the cost of a survey instrument by detecting an inclination angle in a biaxial direction by one line sensor, and using one bubble tube in common for an inclination angle detector and for visual recognition of a horizontal plane in the inclination angle detector for taking out the inclination angle as an electric signal. SOLUTION: The inclination angle detector 50 includes the bubble tube 52; one line sensor 56 arranged on the same horizontal plane as the bubble tube; and two light emitting means 54a, 54b arranged on the same horizontal plane as the bubble tube and projecting shadows 66, 66' of the bubbles 64 in the bubble tube onto the different positions of the line sensor. Light L emitted in parallel with the line sensor from one 54a of the two light emitting means is reflected perpendicularly to the line sensor by a mirror 58 after irradiating the bubble tube and reaches the line sensor. Light L' emitted perpendicularly to the line sensor from the other 54b of the two light emitting means directly reaches the line sensor after irradiating the bubble tube. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
