PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bellows having improved durability, and to provide its processing method. SOLUTION: Compressive residual stress is formed near the tops of inward and outward protruded portions of the bellows. In a method of forming the compressive residual stress near the tops of the protruded portions of the bellows, brush scraping is applied near the tops of the outward protruded portions of the bellows and near the tops of the inside protruded portions of the bellows, namely, the tops on the reverse sides of valley portions. Thus, even when the compressive residual stress is generated on the tops to contract the bellows in the axial direction, tensile stress near the tops is suppressed or eliminated.
