A service system and method for reading a document and a mobile communication terminal therefor are provided to allow a user to read a document, which he/she searched in the WAP retrieval service provided by the wireless portal, through the file viewer of the mobile communications terminal. A document reading service system comprises a mobile communication terminal(10), a mobile communication network(21), a proxy server(30), a wired/wireless Internet server(22), a document storage server(23) and a document conversion server(24). The document conversion server transmits a document converted through the proxy server or directly transmits the document not passing through the proxy server. The wired/wireless Internet server sends a wired/wireless Internet page to the mobile communication terminal through the wired/wireless Internet network. The mobile communication terminal receives a corresponding link document from the document storage server and outputs it through the file viewer. The document storage server transmits the corresponding link document to the mobile terminal based on identification information of the transmitted link.
