A safety round is provided, which can help to ensure safe storage of a loaded gun. The safety round can include a generally cylindrical body. The safety round can also include an extension mechanism configured to extend from an initial position in an axial direction of the body, in response to an action of a gun in which the safety round is disposed. The round can be configured to be resettable by return of the extension mechanism to the initial position.
