<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of performing clear image formation even after a refreshing process. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with: an electrostatic latent image carrier on the surface of which an electrostatic latent image and a toner image are formed; a charging means for charging the surface; an exposure means for irradiating the surface with a laser to form the electrostatic latent image; a development means for forming the toner image; a transfer means for transferring the formed toner image to a recording medium to form the image; an assistance member which assists formation of the image adjacent to an adjacent area endlessly formed in the rotating direction on a periphery of the electrostatic latent image carrier; a first latent image formation control means for forming an electrostatic latent image for refreshing comprised of non-adjacent areas constituting the surface of the electrostatic latent image carrier in the refreshing process; and a second latent image formation control means for forming an end part electrostatic latent image including the adjacent areas at the end part of the electrostatic latent image for refreshing formed by the first latent image formation control means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
