<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing image quality degradation. <P>SOLUTION: This printer 1 includes: a photoreceptor drum 31 having a drum surface 31a holding a toner image thereon; a sliding roller 83 for removing sticking matter on the drum surface 31a by rotating, with toner in between the photoreceptor drum 31 and the sliding roller 83; and a scraper 85 for scraping the sticking matter on the surface 83a of the roller 83 in contact with the surface 83a. The scraper 85 can be changed in position relative to the surface 83a of the sliding roller 83 by moving in the direction in which the scraper 85 is brought into contact with the roller surface 83a or separated therefrom. In addition, the printer 1 has: a driving mechanism that moves the scraper 85 in the direction in which the scraper 85 is brought into contact with the roller surface 83a or separated therefrom; and a control section 9 that exerts drive control so that the scraper 85 may move to the predetermined relative position on the basis of specific conditions for image formation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
