<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an information reader improved in reading performance, usability or the like and low in cost. <P>SOLUTION: The information reader is provided with: a fixing part 1 which has an information storage means 14 and an information transmission means; a mobile part 2 which holds an information reading means 300 and moves integrally with the information reading means 300; and a guide part 31 which is constituted integrally with the mobile part 2 moving to be linearly protruded/housed from/to the fixing part 1 based on the movement of the moving part 2.
