PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support operation of a system suited to a system requirement desired by a user.

SOLUTION: The management server acquires a function corresponding to a system requirement acquired by a user interface by use of a second table storing a corresponding relationship between a function provided by one or more storage devices managed and a system requirement in the storage system, simulates whether the system requirement can be attained or not from the acquired function and a function corresponding to the system requirement in the current storage system, which is acquired by use of a third table storing information for the functions provided by the one or more storage devices, and reports, based on the simulation result, an instruction for effectively setting the function corresponding to the system requirement to the one or more storage devices.
