<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a routing supporting apparatus capable of correctly performing packet transmission by recovering a line on which a fault occurs, on an early stage even if the line fault is a minor error. <P>SOLUTION: A routing supporting apparatus which includes a packet receiving means for receiving a packet inputted from a main network and switches a line to be used from a main line to a backup line in a case where an error is detected in the packet, comprises: an interval term setting means for setting a term for judging whether an error occurs or not; a threshold setting means which sets a threshold for judging whether it is an error or not; a determination means for determining whether an error occurs or not by comparing the packet received by the packet receiving means with a threshold set by the threshold setting means in each term set by the interval term setting means; and a forcible link down means which makes down a link of the main line and switches the line to be used to the backup line on predetermined conditions when a signal indicating that an error packet is received, is received from the determination means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
