<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire tread, exhibiting processability, mechanical strength and rigidity in good balance compared to a conventional rubber composition containing a reclaimed rubber and a powder rubber while keeping the high gripping performance and abrasion resistance by compounding a liquid reclaimed rubber as a plasticizer with a rubber composition, to provide a pneumatic tire having the tread using the rubber composition, and to reduce the cost for the tire production by improving recycling of a rubber product such as a used tire which has been subjected to disposal and using the recycled reclaimed rubber. <P>SOLUTION: The rubber composition for the tire tread contains 5-30 pts.wt. liquid reclaimed rubber having≥80 wt.% amount dissolvable in toluene and≤20 Mooney viscosity (ML<SB>1+4</SB>/100°C).
