摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure and a method for joining different kind metals, by which structure and method, a ferrous alloy plate represented by a steel plate and an aluminum alloy plate can be strongly joined by the lap joint by radiating a high energy beam from the aluminum alloy plate side. <P>SOLUTION: When the first plate 1 made of a ferrous alloy and the second plate 2 made of an aluminum base alloy are joined by the lap joint, the surface of the second plate in the overlapped portion is pressed while being irradiated with the defocused high energy beam B.
