PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge transfer device, solid-state imaging apparatus, camera, and a driving method of the solid-state imaging apparatus capable of suppressing crosstalk and achiving high speed operations while maintaining an improvement of a charge amount to be treated originally as a multiphase and power reduction by being made low amplitude. SOLUTION: A driving part 15 drives a charge transfer device such that there exists only one phase at each time in a first level interval in multiphase driving of three phases or more, and drives transfer stages in charge transfer parts 14, 17, 18 excluding a final state by three phase transfer pulses. It further drives the same such that an interval of a final transfer pulse applied to a final stage gate electrode changing from a first level to a second level is delayed by an interval changing from a first level to a second level of a first phase transfer pulse of a three phase transfer pulse, and such that an interval changing from a first level to a second level of a second phase transfer pulse opposing an interval changing from a second level; to a first level of a third phase transfer pulse overlaps an interval of a second level of a reset pulse.
