PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a learning remote control system for allowing a user to easily set. SOLUTION: In a normal mode, a main body 3 operates by referring only control information without referring setting information. The operation corresponding to a received control signal (control contents) is determined without depending on the setting information. A remote control transmitter 2 stores the setting information and operates by referring only the setting information. The control signal corresponding to an operation key is generated by referring the setting information. In a learning mode, the remote control transmitter 2 and the main body 3 perform bidirectional communication about the setting information. And then, the editing work of the setting information is performed using the main body 3. In a learning remote control system 1, a user can set the setting information arbitrarily, the setting is performed using a display section 33 in the main body 3.
