PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk playback device capable of effectively preventing a lens holding part from causing rattling (abnormal sound) or being damaged even during the non-operation of the disk playback device. SOLUTION: The disk playback device is provided with a lens holding part 10 for holding a lens (11) for receiving light from a recording medium (2), a base (30) for movably holding the lens holding part, a pickup having a driving part to displace the lens holding part (10), a detection means (26) for detecting acceleration applied to the playback device, and an operation signal generation means (27) for generating an operation signal to be supplied to the driving part on the basis of a detection result by the detection means.
