PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a marking device body compact by making supporting legs foldable down in the marking device against the body, for its storage. SOLUTION: In the marking device, a laser irradiation means is incorporated inside the body housing 5 erected on the top surface side of a frame 1, and at least three supporting legs 6a-6c are arranged in the contour end part of the frame 1 at predetermined intervals on the bottom surface side of the frame. Each of the supporting legs 6a-6c is provided so as to be erectable from or foldable against the bottom surface side of the frame 1, and these supporting legs 6a-6c are so constituted as to keep a drooping state from the bottom surface of the frame 1 when erected, and as to be placed inside the bottom surface area of the frame 1 when folded down.
