PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a performance unit for a game machine useful for improving the taste of a game by arousing player's thrilling and heart-quickening feelings. SOLUTION: This performance unit 1 for the game machine is provided with a display unit 2 having a display screen 20 for displaying picture information, a hatch unit having at least one hatch door 31 and 32 rotationally turning between a first position for hiding a display screen 20 and a second position for opening the display screen 20 to the player side, a unit advancing/retracting means 11 for advancing/retracting the display unit 2 along a normal line direction D of the display screen 20, and a hatch unit advancing/retracting means 12 for advancing/retracting the hatch unit 3 along the normal direction D.
