<p>A thin plastic film passed over a table having a pref. circular aperture and a circular support plate located centrally in the aperture, and a ram operated presser plate presses the film against the table. A cutter blade extending perpendicularly to the table and carried on a rotatable support beneath the table, extends through the gap between the circular support plate and aperture and executes a circular orbit to cut a disc-shaped portion out of the film. Pref. the tip of the blade extends into an annular groove in the presser plate, and the disc shaped portion is removed by a suction head to a storage position for subsequent use in packaging.</p> |
