PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propeller shaft supporting structure capable of rapidly unfixing a propeller shaft from a vehicle body when a vehicle is collided. SOLUTION: A propeller shaft 1 is elastically supported by a lower side of a floor of a vehicle body by an elastic supporting device 5 having a substantially annular bracket 11 mounted on the vehicle body, a casing 13 fixed to an inner circumferential side of the bracket 11 via an elastic member 12, a bearing 14 which is held by the inner circumferential side of the casing 13 to rotatably support a substantially intermediate portion of the propeller shaft. The elastic member is bent in a substantially U-shaped longitudinal section in a returning manner and interposed between the bracket and the casing, and its bent part 12a is arranged projectingly to the side opposite to a flange 10 arranged on the forward side of the vehicle from the elastically supporting device to reduce the spacing in the axial direction between the flange and the bracket.
