PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forging die apparatus which can inexpensively manufacture a hub ring of a throwing knife-shaped flange type or of a round flange type and can inhibit the occurrence of a material crack. SOLUTION: A part with a flange having a shaft part 31 and a flange 32 extending in an outer diametrical direction from the shaft part 31 are manufactured with the use of the forging die apparatus equipped with an upper die unit 61 and a lower die unit 60 and by the following method. A semi-finished formed product 36 having no flange is first formed by applying a closed forging to a blank by means of one die set having a plurality of stages next. Then a formed product 38 with the flange having the flange part 32 is formed by applying the closed forging to the semi-finished formed product 37.
