The retainer has a cylindrically formed retainer surface (3) for a ring (4) of a bearing (2), where the retainer is made of a metallic material e.g. aluminum and magnesium. A circularly or helically formed spring unit (5) made of high-rigidity material e.g. mild steel is arranged in the area of the retainer surface, where the spring unit is completely surrounded by the material of the retainer. The unit has a corrugation that is extended in an axial direction. A flange radially extends outward from the retainer surface and includes a hole for fasteners. |
