The engine comprises a drive unit for generating drive moments, an electronic drive input standard system for generation of electronic drive input signals and an electronic control system for generation of load signals for control of the drive unit that is dependent on the drive input signal. The control system is built in such a way that a variable dampening of the drive input signal is dependent on the scale of the drive input alteration and/or dependent on the velocity of the drive input alteration.
