The invention relates to devices and methods for controlled parallel operation of direct current converters, especially in a multi-voltage electric system of a vehicle, with two voltage ranges (U1) and (U2). The parallel-connected current converters are located between the voltage ranges. Only one of the current converters is configured as an active voltage regulator that operates permanently. The other (n-1) converters operate according to the required power demand either in full-load or no-load mode.
