<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method with good conveying properties and good image uniformity when an image is formed by a thermal transfer system. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming method enables the formation of the image by piles up a thermal transfer sheet 10 prepared by arranging respectively at least a layer of a yellow thermal transfer layer 3Y, a magenta thermal transfer layer 3M, a cyan thermal transfer layer 3C and a releasable thermal transfer protective layer 4 in this order in surface sequence on a substrate, and a thermal transfer image receiving sheet having at least a dye receiving layer on a substrate. In the image forming method, at least a layer among the thermal transfer sheet comprises a releasable silicone resin, and at least a layer of the image receiving sheet comprises a releasing agent of a fatty acid ester of a polyhydric alcohol with a melting point of 60-90°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
